Dougie Grant

Douglas is Head of Business Actuarial, the department responsible for product development and pricing of all AEGON UK unitised and guaranteed products. He’s spent 10 years with AEGON UK, eight of which have been in pricing and product development.

Douglas has had a heavy involvement in all aspects of our guaranteed proposition, stretching back to 2005 when we first investigated the possibility of bringing US-style guaranteed products into the UK. He’s currently spending six months in the USA learning more about how these products are evolving, how they are distributed, and how the risks inherent in these products are managed. The fact he has experience and responsibility for both guaranteed and non guaranteed products allows him to maintain a balanced view of the customer benefits these modern guarantees bring.
